Netflix, AMACC expand Mexican audiovisual support fund

Mexico's Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMACC) and Netflix have announced a further expansion of their aid fund to support workers in the audiovisual industry affected by the coronavirus pandemic. In a statement, AMACC said the partners have added an extra MXN 4.5 million to the MXN 25 million (around USD 1 million) already pledged, meaning the Covid-19 Support Fund will now support around 1,437 workers in 20 Mexican states impacted by production cancellations.
