Netflix hikes prices in Mexico

Monday 18 March 2019 | 12:19 CET | News
Netflix has lifted its prices in Mexico a few weeks after hiking rates in the US by 13 to 18 percent. Starting 14 March, the company's prices increased from MXN 109 to MXN 129 a month for 1 connected device and SD quality, from MXN 149 to MXN 169 for 2 devices and HD, and from MXN 199 to MXN 229 for 4 devices and 4K quality. The rise is Netflix Mexico's first since 2017 and "reflects the improvements made in the service, particularly our investments in content… and technology," a Netflix spokesperson told local news agency Notimex.
