Netflix may use AI to create personalised movie trailers

Netflix researchers are testing software-edited trailers personalised to individual subscribers' tastes to lure more people to watch its films, according to online publication theregister.co.uk citing a well-placed source familiar with the matter. For example, the trailer of an action movie will highlight romantic scenes or scenes with a liked actor or actress when promoted to customers interested in romance movies. Trailers comprise a series of carefully selected clips to give viewers a glimpse into what a film is about to attract them, but it does not include enough pieces of information
