Netflix on track to overtake Sky Germany in subscriber numbers this year

Monday 11 June 2018 | 15:39 CET | News
Netflix is set to outgrow Sky Germany in terms of subscriber numbers in Germany by the end of the year, reported German daily Sueddeutsche Zeitung (SZ). Netflix competitor Cirkus CEO and founder Mark Bradford said the streaming service already has roughly 4 million subscribers in Germany and is on track to grow more than 20 percent in Germany this year alone, wrote SZ. That would give Netflix a customer base of over 5 million subscribers in Germany by the end of the year and enable it to overtake Sky Germany in terms of subscriber numbers, wrote SZ.
