Netflix plans to double its original shows next year

Netflix plans to nearly double its offer of original programming to reach a total of 31 scripted shows by the end of 2016, chief content officer Ted Sarandos said at a UBS Media Conference. According to The Verge, he also said that Netflix was working on ten new feature films, twelve documentaries, ten stand-up specials and 30 children's shows. Sarandos said, "It's not just a lot of volume. This is quality stuff."
