Netflix raises prices in the US for both standard, premium tiers

Netflix has raised its prices in the US for both its standard and premium plans, the Verge reported. Standard will go to USD 14 from 13 per month, and the premium tier will increase to USD 18 from 16 per month. A company spokesperson said the prices were rising so that Netflix can continue to offer more variety in its TV shows and films.
