Netflix signs rights deal with SACD, ADAGP

Netflix has signed a contract with two French copyright management industry associations, the SACD and ADAGP, ahead of its 15 September launch. The agreement covers France, Belgium and Luxembourg. Netflix signed a similar agreement with music publishers' association Sacem over a month ago. SACD managing director Pascal Rogard told AFP that it is a standard agreement that his group signs with TV channels, IPTV operators and internet video platforms, under the same conditions as with a French company. He did not reveal the financial details of the amount to be paid to rights holders based on
