Netflix streaming soars 350% since 2011 – study

Netflix streaming has rocketed by 350 percent over the last 10 quarters, growing from 2 billion hours in the final quarter of 2011 to 7 billion hours as of the second quarter of this year, according to research from The Diffusion Group (TDG). The study was based on a survey of 2,000 adult broadband users and examined subscriber growth and hours streamed. Total international streaming grew from 200,000 hours to 1.9 million hours in the same period, a tenfold increase.
