Netflix to add 8 mln new customers in Europe by 2018 - IHS

Netflix's launch in Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium and Luxembourg in September will see European customers comprise one-fifth of all Netflix subscribers by 2015, versus one-tenth at present, forecasts market researchers IHS. The new markets will add an estimated 5 million to 6 million new subscribers. Between this expansion and its growing popularity in its current European markets (UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Scandinavia), Netflix will add 8 million new subscribers in Europe by the end of 2018, according to IHS projections. The international expansion is projected to increase
