Netflix to hike prices for long-term UK members

Monday 11 April 2016 | 19:54 CET | News
Netflix plans to increase subscription charges for some UK users as it terminates legacy pricing for long-term customers. The company confirmed to wired.co.uk that the legacy pricing of GBP 5.99 per month for the Standard package will rise by GBP 1.50 to the GBP 7.49 a month currently paid by new members. The Standard package offers HD content and access on two screens simultaneously. This follows a similar move in the US, where long-term customers on the Standard package will see their subscription increase from USD 7.99 to USD 9.99 per month.
