Netflix uptake hits 73% in US, same as pay TV - study

Some 73 percent of Americans aged 18 to 59 subscribe to Netflix, exactly the same proportion as those subscribing to traditional pay-TV, according to the latest US video industry report from PWC. A survey of 1,986 US residents with annual household incomes above USD 40,000 revealed a continuous annual increase in the number of cord-cutters, with 73 percent of respondents currently subscribing to pay-TV, down from 76 percent in 2016 and 79 percent the year before.
