Netgear sales lower in Q2 on weak Europe

Friday 25 July 2014 | 11:23 CET | News
Netgear reported a drop in second-quarter revenue to USD 337.6 million from USD 357.7 million a year earlier, at the low end of its earlier guidance due to weakness in Europe. The company said it was taking action to improve sales channels in Northern Europe. The adjusted operating margin was ahead of forecast, at 10.1 percent versus 9.7 percent in Q1. Adjusted net profit fell to USD 21.4 million or 58 cents a share from USD 21.4 million or 62 cents share in Q2 2013. The company forecast third-quarter revenue of USD 345-360 million and an adjusted operating margin of 9.5-10.5 percent.
