New streaming devices drive OTT VoD growth in UK - study

Take-up of new streaming devices like the Amazon Fire Stick, Roku and Google Chromecast is now driving growth of OTT VoD use in the UK, according to the latest Mediabug Wave report from Decipher. Now in its fifth year, this bi-annual report is based on an online consumer survey of 3,000 UK consumers and examines how new technology is impacting media consumption. Having previously reported a slowdown in the uptake of services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Instant Video and NOW TV, the latest report shows that uptake is now growing thanks to these new devices.
