New telecom rules to attract USD 20 bln to Argentina - Aguad

Monday 26 September 2016 | 09:11 CET | News
A new market-friendly telecommunications act will attract some USD 20 billion in investment to the country over a space of four years, according to communications minister Oscar Aguad. "As long as we are able to dictate a norm with clear rules, I think the figure of USD 5 billion a year is possible," Aguad told Reuters. Although the new rules won't come into force until 2018, Aguad suggested companies including Motorola and AT&T have expressed interest in investing in Argentina.
