New Zealand expands UFB deployment to 151 towns

New Zealand Prime Minister Bill English and Communications Minister Simon Bridges have announced the expansion of the Ultra-Fast Broadband (UFB) to more than 151 additional towns. The expanded project is expected to provide up to 85 percent of New Zealanders with access to fibre by the end of 2024. The second phase of the Government's UFB programme, which involves overall investments of NZD 300 million, has just been rolled out in Amberley, north Canterbury. The Amberley event marked the awarding of contracts between Crown Fibre Holdings and four partner companies: Northpower, Ultrafast
