News Corp files Google news search complaint at EC - report

News Corp has filed a formal complaint with the European Commission claiming that Google uses its dominance in the search for news articles to deter internet users from clicking through to the news source, reports the Wall Street Journal, citing a person familiar with the matter. News Corps allegedly reinforces its dominance by copying or "scraping" content from publishers to show in its news article results. The complaint alleges that if a publisher does not want the content copied, Google does not show the articles in the results at all.
