NewSat interested in Optus satellite business

Wednesday 12 June 2013 | 04:23 CET | News
Australian satellite operator NewSat is interested in buying Optus' satellite business. The company has been approached by several private equity firms on partnering to acquire Optus' assets, The Australian reports citing company chief Adrian Ballintine. "It's fair to say that we have been approached by numerous PE firms and banks to partner up. We could also manage the process too, which would be interesting. We have the intellectual capacity to do that," he said. In May, SingTel announced it would be conducting a review of the Optus satellite business.
