Nexagent chief executive stands down

Tuesday 21 January 2003 | 00:00 CET | News
Nexagent, telecoms software company, has appointed Royce Murphy as its new chief executive, replacing Charlie Muirhead, who will remain as company president. Muirhead claims that his priority is to recruit experienced managers for Nexagent following problems encountered at Orchestream, lossmaking software company also founded by Muirhead. Orchestream is being acquired by MetaSolv (US), rival, for around GBP7.9 mil. Orchestream was valued at almost GBP1 bil at the height of the telecoms boom. Muirhead will remain as a non-executive director of Orchestream until the deal has been completed.
