Aviat Networks said regional US ISP Nextlink Internet (Nextlink) is extending its fibre backbone using the Aviat WTM 4000 microwave and multi-band platform. Nextlink placed a multimillion-dollar blanket purchase order for the platform, which supports a variety of SDN protocols and is purpose built for SDN and IP/MPLS networks.
