Nigeria loses NGN 10 bln to foreign domain hosting

Nigeria is losing NGN 10 billion yearly from Top Level Domain (ccTLD), dotng (.ng) names hosted outside the country. The head of the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NIRA), Sunday Folayan, said that this business decision has both security and economic implications. According to him, just 1 percent of the .ng domains registered by NIRA are hosted in the country, Todang.ng reported.
