Nigerian court adjourns hearing for MTN suit against Attorney General until January 2020

The High Court hearing for the suit filed by MTN Nigeria against the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) has been adjourned until 30 and 31 January 2020, Nigeria News Agency reported. MTN instituted the suit by a writ on 10 September, mainly challenging the legality of the AGF's assessment of its import duties, withholding tax and value-added tax in the sums of NGN 242 billion and USD 1.3 billion.
