Nigerian govt remains committed to at least 70% broadband penetration by 2025

Nigerian Minister of Communications and Digital Economy Isa Ali Ibrahim has reiterated the government's commitment to a minimum of 70 percent broadband penetration by 2025. He said that national Digital Economy Policy and Strategy  cannot be achieved without broadband penetration. He said the responsibility of building the ICT sector does not lie with government alone, noting that the sector globally is being supported and developed by the private sector.
