Nigerian internet subscriptions rise 14% in year to November, penetration reaches 58%

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) said that the number of internet subscriptions grew by 14 percent to 108.5 million in the year to November 2018. The NCC says that this represents a density of 58 percent, placing Nigeria well above the African average of around 16 percent, as indicated by McKinsey. In November there were 1.35 million new internet subscriptions recorded, compared with 1.12 million the previous month.
