Nkom requires more details from Telenor on wholesale copper network shutdown plans

Tuesday 12 November 2019 | 14:26 CET | News
Norwegian telecoms regulator Nkom said it is setting detailed requirements for Telenor's notifications to wholesale customers regarding its plans to change its equipment. Telenor has until 25 November 2019 to comment. As an operator with Significant Market Power (SMP), Telenor is obliged to warn its wholesale customers of plans to change its broadband infrastructure, including its copper network, which remains a major network even though xDSL customers are declining.
