NLDC Datacenters announced a project to swap excess heat generated at its Aalsmeer data centre for water to cool its installations. The city is supporting the project, along with a local daycare centre, sports centre and plant exporter, which will benefit from the heat and supply the water. The government's 'top sectors' programme will provide a subsidy for the project as part of efforts to develop new forms of energy efficiency.
