Nokia closes factory in southern India due to multiple Corona cases

Located in Sriperumbudur in the southern state of Tamil Nadu, the factory was reopened in a restricted manner over the past few weeks after India eased the world's biggest lockdown. Nokia said it hopes to resume operations soon at a restricted level with skeletal staff strength. According to local paper the Economic Times, Nokia is allowed to run the factory with 33 percent staff strength, but is currently operating at even lower capacity.
