Nokia denies commitment to invest in 5G in Kazakhstan

Nokia has denied any commitment to investing in 5G in Kazakhstan. The portal Profit.kz had reported that Ruslan Dalenov, Kazakh minister of national economy, had said Nokia was ready to spend USD 500 million on implementing 5G there. Mikko Lavanti, head of Central East and Central Asia for Nokia, said in clarification to local media that it considers Kazakhstan an important market, where it wants to continue working closely with the government, all operators and the ecosystem, but as of now, it has not agreed to any details for 5G.
