Nokia denies reported takeover talks with Juniper Networks

Nokia denied a report from CNBC that it is in talks to buy Juniper Networks. The Finnish company said in a statement that it "is not currently in talks with, nor is it preparing an offer for, Juniper Networks related to an acquisition of that company". 

Sources earlier told CNBC that a deal was in the making between the two companies, sending Juniper's share price higher in after-hours trading in the US.

Nokia promotes Erlemeier as COO to replace Maurer

Nokia has announced the appointment of Joerg Erlemeier as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and member of the group leadership team. Erlemeier will succeed Monika Maurer, who is to leave Nokia to pursue new opportunities elsewhere. She will support Erlemeier during a transitional period first.
