Nokia expands Here apps to other Windows brands

Nokia announced the first expansion of its Here location services to other smartphone brands. The company said last November when it launched the Here brand that the services would also be available on other OS. The first expansion will be to non-Nokia Windows Phone smartphones, with the Here Maps, Here Drive and Here Transit now available on the Windows Phone Store in the US, Canada, Mexico, UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain. Nokia also announced that it is opening up its APIs in imaging, location and music to encourage Windows developers to build more applications customised for its
