Nokia Ghana backs mobile app contest for students

Nokia Ghana has supported a mobile application development contest among university students in Accra that ended on 13 September. Over 100 graduates from the University of Ghana, Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) School of Technology and others competed for prize. These included app developer tool kits worth USD 1,500. The three-day '1000 Apps Contest' was run in association with the GIMPA School of Technology in Accra, Microsoft and Nokia. The contest formed part of the Nokia Research Innovation Programme, which is aimed at gathering talented research students
