Nokia looks to block sale of HTC One in UK

Nokia is seeking compensation and an injunction to stop the import and sale of the HTC One smartphone in the UK after winning a patent dispute at the High Court, reports BBC News. The dispute centred on a patent filed in 1998 for the design of a modulator. HTC said it was disappointed by the ruling and would appeal, arguing that the technology was in chips supplied by Qualcomm. HTC said that Nokia has signed a deal in the US not to sue Qualcomm over the matter.
