Nokia, Telefonica Peru to install private LTE network at Las Bambas copper mine

Nokia and Telefonica Peru have announced contract with Minera Las Bambas to deliver digitalisation and automation projects at its site in the southern Peruvian region of Apurimac. The 5-year deal with the world's ninth largest copper mine will see the partners build and deploy a private LTE network some 4,600 meters above sea level before migrating mine applications to the new network.
