Nokia upgrades LTE-A software to reach up to 600 Mbps

Nokia Networks will show new developments in LTE-Advanced at the Mobile World Congress, aimed at boosting spectrum efficiency, the number of cells in use and network capacity for higher data rates. Building on existing carrier aggregation, the company is launching MIMO4x4 to double peak data rates compared to MIMO2x2 using the same amount of spectrum. The company will show MIMO 4x4 together with CA on the Flexi Multiradio 10 base station reaching 600 Mbps, the theoretical maximum of upcoming Cat.11 user devices.
