Nokia's Festraets elected FTTH Council Europe president

The FTTH Council Europe has announced the election of Nokia Belgium's current fixed networks strategy marketing director Eric Festraets as its new president during its first virtual General Assembly held in Brussels. Other members of the 9-strong board are Steffen Leiwesmeier (Hamburg Commercial Bank) as Treasurer, plus Eric Joyce (ADTRAN), Vincent Garnier (Commscope), Raf Meersman (Comsof), Mike Knott (Corning), Christof Sommerberg (Deutsche Glasfaser Holding), Luigi Gambardella (Open Fiber) and Jan Schindler (Prysmian).
