Nominet, Telefonica support self-driving vehicle project

The DRIVEN consortium will unveil the first three of its proposed fleet of six self-driving vehicles at the Cenex Low Carbon Vehicle (LCV) event in Bedfordshire, UK, from 06 September. DRIVEN is a consortium of UK companies, led by Oxbotica, which has a GBP 8.9 million government grant to develop and deploy a fleet of Level 4 autonomous vehicles in urban areas and on motorways. Other project partners include Telefonica O2 and Nominet, which is helping to develop digital infrastructure including access, authentication, privacy and security of digital systems.
