Nordic-Baltic telecoms report finds fibre broadband expansion continues, cable TV contracts falling

A report by the communication regulators of the Nordic and Baltic countries said that fibre broadband continued to expand in 2017 but that the number of cable TV subscriptions is flattening out in most countries. In their annual joint report, they said fibre and cable TV grids provide the fastest internet services. Sweden and Norway have the largest number of broadband contracts on those types of network, with 31 percent of Swedes and 29 percent of Norwegians on fibre or cable at end-2017.
