North America to lead for 5G by 2025 - GSMA

There will be around 200 million 5G mobile connections in Canada and the US by 2025, representing just under half (49%) of the total market, according to the latest report from GSMA for this year. By contrast, the adoption rate of 5G in Europe will be at 30 percent and in key Asian markets such as China, Japan and South Korea, at 30 percent, in total. Early 5G use cases in North America will likely focus on the provision of enhanced mobile broadband offerings to the consumer market, while services in areas such as autonomous vehicles, industrial and vehicular automation, remote medical
