Norway govt runs hearing for driverless car draft law

The Norwegian government said it is putting a draft law to allow trials of self-driving motor vehicles out for consultation, with a view to it coming before Parliament in spring 2017. Comments should be submitted by 01 March. The aim is to allow tests of driverless cars on public roads, in a way that takes into account safety and privacy. The draft law includes a recommendation that anyone wanting to test automatic vehicles should have to apply for a permit, which might include extra conditions.
