The Norwegian market for subscription video on demand (SVoD) has shown strong growth during past twelve months, according to consultancy Mediavision. It said Norway now has the highest SVoD penetration in the Nordic region, with approximately 730,000 households having a VoD subscription in the third quarter of 2014. It added that SVoD penetration and spending per household in Norway are the highest in the region, too. On average, Norwegian VoD households have 1.6 subscriptions. So far, though, most homes in the country have both traditional pay-TV and SvoD, said Mediavision.
