Norwegian broadband subsidy applications reach NOK 654 mln

Norwegian communicaitons regulator Nkom said that it has received 173 applications for NOK 654 million in subsidies for broadband expansion from this year's funding. This figure is a little lower than last year's. The value of the projects submitted is NOK 1.3 billion. There is NOK 110 million available. The projects were selected by county councils. Applications from Hedmark were greatest, with subsidies of NOK 132 million sought. Akerhus and Vestfold counties had not submitted applications in 2014 but have done so this time.
