Norwegian parliament approves NOK 139 mln home broadband subsidies for 2017

Norwegian communications regulator Nkom said it is subsidising 40 projects to improve broadband provision, providing funding towards schemes in areas where development would not be commercially viable. Parliament has approved NOK 138.7 million in broadband subsidies for 2017 for approximately 13,700 homes. The average provided per connection is approximately NOK 10,100.
