Norwegian Q4 average private fixed broadband hits 47 Mbps

The average speed of Norwegian fixed broadband rose from 5.0 Mbps in the fourth quarter of 2008 to 47.0 Mbps in the final quarter of 2016, according to Norway's Central Statistics Office (SSB). The rate of broadband penetration increased from 68 percent to 84 percent over the same period and up from 30 percent in 2004. The median broadband speed improved from 3.3 Mbps to 27.7 Mbps.
