Norwegian regional growth enterprise plans sea cable from Norway to UK

Wednesday 6 September 2017 | 12:19 CET | News
Plans are afoot to lay a fibre cable linking Norway to the UK, providing state funding becomes available, said Haugaland regional growth agency Haugaland Vekst. The scheme involves Lyse, BKK, Smedvig, Hatteland, Haugaland Kraft, Ryfylke IKS, Greater Stavanger, the county councils of Rogaland and Hordaland, and Haugaland Vekst itself. They have set up a company called No-UK Com AS, which has pledged NOK 465 million investment in the cable.
