Norwegian residential access to 500 Mbps broadband rises to 88% in H1

Three quarters (74%) of Norwegian homes had access to fibre broadband by 30 June 2020, said communications regulator Nkom in its annual broadband report. It was commissioned from Analysys Mason and based on information from 124 providers of fixed line and mobile internet. It said 88 percent of residences could access broadband with a download speed of 500 Mbps or faster, up from 83 percent in mid-2019.
