Norwegian VoIP services to get standard mobile numbers

Norwegian postal and telecoms regulator PT said it is to allow the allocation of eight-digit mobile telephone numbers for use with VoIP services. Currently, only traditional mobile services can have ordinary mobile numbers assigned to them.There are a number of conditions attached, one being that the services provided must be fully fledged mobile services. No time scale was mentioned.
