NOS agrees sub-licence for Olympics

Monday 21 March 2016 | 15:16 CET | News
Dutch public broadcaster NOS has signed a sub-licence with Discovery Networks to show the Olympic Games in 2018 and 2020. The NOS will show 10 hours live each day of the winter games in Pyeongchang and 14 hours per day from the summer games in Tokyo. It will also offer coverage over radio, internet and apps of the same footage shown on TV. Eurosport holds the remaining rights for the Netherlands, including exclusive rights to two sports at each Olympics, such as ice hockey for the winter games. The NOS did not give any financial details on the cost of the rights.
