NTC raises 3G licence starting bid
The Thai telecommunications regulator has raised the starting bid for the upcoming 3G spectrum licences. The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has set the starting bid at THB 12.8 billion, up from THB 10 billion earlier, the Nation reports citing an NTC source. The new draft for the upcoming auction also included more details on the auction method and network roll-out incentive for licensees. The NTC plans to auction three 2.1 GHz licences in September.
