NTT Docomo joins Mobile Payment Alliance

Under the terms of their business alliance, Line Pay, Merpay and NTT Docomo plan to promote the launch of Line Pay, Merpay, and dBarai mobile payment services to stores and businesses. Each plans to make their own app capable of handling QR code scanning and payments for the other two partners' merchant-presented mode (MPM) code payment services. Businesses need to set up a QR code from any one of the three services to start accepting payments from Line Pay, Merpay and NTT Docomo customers. Consumers will be able to use their preferred payment method at more stores. The MPM payment method
