NTT Docomo to unveil technologies 'beyond 2020' at GSMA

NTT Docomo said it will unveil new R&D initiatives at the GSMA Mobile World Congress2014 in Barcelona, involving technologies targeting beyond 2020, such as 5G mobile networks and intelligent wearable device applications. Demonstrations will present data speeds of over 10 Gbps in downlink, the company's advanced C-RAN architecture for the LTE-Advanced service set to launch in Japan by March 2016, and its intelligent glasses. NTT Docomo will also exhibit cloud services for LTE, multiple shopping platforms and its docomo M2M platform, as well as the mAgri M2M system for monitoring calving via
