Number of smartphones sold via e-tailers in China grows 58%

The share of e-tailers (such as JD, Alibaba's Tmall and Suning Yigou) for smartphones sold in China grew to 21 percent in the second quarter of 2015 from 14 percent in the year-earlier period. In terms of unit growth, the number of smartphones sold through e-tailers has increased by 58 percent year-on-year in this year's second quarter, according to a report from IDC.
